On March of 2024, supernote made a public statement on their Facebook group about the A5 X2. They said they expect to release it in late May or June.
Well, May, June and even July came and went and it is now August and yet still no release. But Supernote did release an update on 19th July about it’s development. They’ve been inspired by the manta ray and decided to change the design a bit. It seems they want to make it as thin as possible and adding a bit of thickness only in places required such as the USB-C port and speakers.
Since they’ve decided to make design changes, it’ll push the release date even further. Especially since they’ve only shown a concept art drawing. There isn’t even a real prototype yet. So design finalisation, testing and then finally production will most probably take up a few months.
14 August 2024 Update:
A few days ago Supernote updated the timeline on the development of the A5 X2. And that is, mass production will begin on September of this year. Pre-orders will probably begin on the same month. If you’re hoping to get this device then you should check their website regularly as the stocks probably won’t last for long.
