This article will list all the 7 inch color e-readers you can get in 2024. All of the following e-ink devices use the latest Kaleido 3 display which gives 300 PPI for black and white and 150 for color. And they also all have physical page turn buttons.
1. Boox Go Color 7
First up we have the most recent one of this list- the Boox Go Color 7. It was released in June of 2024 and like all other Boox tablets it runs on android (12) so you can install all of your favorite reading and manga apps on it.

2. Bigme B751C
Next on the list is also an android e-reader; this time from the company Bigme called the B751C. It is similar in specs to the Go color 7 in that it also has same amount of ram and internal storage (4+64GB) with a expansion option and also the battery is the same at 2300 mAh. But it is older and hence use android 11. You can get it from the Bigme Store for $229 and you can also use the code ‘webtoolo’ for an 8% discount.
3. Kobo Libra color
The next one created a big buzz in the e-reader community when it was released and that is the Kobo Libra Color. If you don’t need android apps and just want a good solid color e-reader then this is the one to go for. It’s priced at a reasonable $219 and Kobo e-readers are well built and sturdy and will probably be your reading companion for many years to come.
The only downside for me with this one is that it is not android. Having the option to install your favorite ebook and manga/comic reading apps is a necessity for me personally. It’s available worldwide so you can get it from your regional online store like Amazon, Walmart etc.
4. Pocketbook Era Color
And last but not least we have the Era Color from Pocketbook which has a waterproof rating of IPX8 so you can relaxingly enjoy your reading by the pool or at the beach. It has 32 gb of internal memory and supports all the major ebook formats such as epub, cbz, mobi etc. It also supports 6 audio formats and you can listen to audio books via its in-built speakers.
One thing this and the libra color has that the other two don’t is that they are waterproof with an IPX8 rating. Also in some countries they are easier to purchase regionally. It is available from Amazon stores worldwide.
