The Onyx Boox Tab Ultra C was unveiled today 26th of April 2023 on youtube and was received with lots of warm excitement in Reddit, youtube, and Facebook comments. It is priced at $599 and is available for pre-order from the Boox Shop. I reached out to Onyx and they say that shipping will start on the first week of May.

The tab uses the latest eink color tech- Kaleido 3 which has 150PPI for color with a resolution of 1240×930 px while PPI for black & white is 300 with 2480 x 1860 pixels. The internal storage is an amazing 128GB which will allow you to store all your pdfs and documents, this is especially beneficial for students and those who work in the academic profession. The RAM is 4GB and the CPU is a Qualcomm Advanced Octacore processor.
It supports Wifi connectivity Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz) along with BT 5.0. If you plan to use it at night, the warm front light will be soothing for your eyes. You can install any app since it supports google play and runs on Android 11. Another thing I find impressive about this device is its 6300 mAh battery which is very generous, especially for an eink tab. In comparison the Note series’s battery is around 4000mAh, so this is a big upgrade.
