I-reader has just released a phone-sized e-reader in China called the Tango. It is 6.13″ in screen size and uses the latest e-ink Carta 1300 with 300 PPI having warm & cold frontlight. One interesting feature of this device is its new Max 2.0 refresh mode which promises 30 fps. And as you can see in the video below it is impressively fast for e-ink.
It has an octa-core CPU and is powered by a 3900 mAh battery. It has 8gb of RAM and 128gb of internal storage. It runs on Android but no info about the version. It has the usual features like USB-C, microphone, speakers, Bluetooth & Wifi.
For now, it is only available on the JD.com website for $249 and it comes in two colors- black and white. I hope they release an English international version too. But even if they don’t this one will most definitely be snagged by resellers and listed on Ali Express. So you will be able to buy it easily from anywhere in the world (except India) in a few weeks time.
