On 2 December 2024 MeeBook launched a new 7.8″ e-ink note-taking ereader called M8. It is a direct successor to their previous P78 and in a first for any e-ink device it runs on android 14 with Google Play pre-installed. It is available now from their AliExpress store for 259$ and 284$ with the pen and there is also a 20$ coupon you can apply. Please make sure you buy the international version from their official store as there are also chinese versions being sold by resellers. It has 4 gb of RAM and 64 gb of internal storage with an option to expand via a TF card for upto 1TB.
The M8 uses a 7.8″ Eink Carta HD screen that gives 300 PPI. It has warm and cold frontlight and a wacom layer for writing and sketching. It has Wifi, Bluetooth and stereo speakers and microphones. The CPU is an Octa-core 2.2 Ghz and the battery is 3200 mAh.
Meebook M6C
MeeBook also released their first ever e-ink color device earlier this year in June called the M6C. It is essentially the same device as the M6 except for the Kaleido 3 display. It is 6″ with 300 PPI for black and white and 150 PPI for color. It uses a Quad core CPU with 3gb of Ram and 32 gb of internal storage with option to expand upto 1TB.
It has speakers and microphone, is powered by a 2200 mAh battery and runs on Android 11. It is 7.1mm thick, weighs 180g and comes in one color- white.
