So it’s going to be a wonderful Christmas for e-ink lovers as many e-paper devices are being released this month and one of them is the long awaited Supernote A5X2 Manta. It is now available for order from their official website for 459$ without the pen and folio.
It will have a 10.7″ Eink screen with 300 PPI and without any frontlight layer for maximum clarity and it will use a Mobius E-ink screen which is plastic and not glass so you’re less likely to break the display. It will run on a custom operating System called Chauvet which is based on Android 11. But it will a closed ecosystem so you won’t have access to the Play Store or sideload APKs.
It will have a quad-core CPU with 4gb of RAM and 32gb of internal storage with an option to expand to upto 2 TB via microSD card. One of the best things about this device is that it is modular with a changeable (3600 mAh) battery and motherboard. It’ll have USB-C, Wifi and bluetooth but no microphone or speakers.
