Pubu announce Pubook Mobile & Dasung compatible with Mac

Pubu is a digital bookstore company based in Taiwan that has released e-readers in the past. Their most recent ones include the Pubook 2 which is 7-8″ eink color device and a 10″ note taking one called the Pubook Pro.

But now they are going to launch a phone sized e-reader called the Pubook Mobile. It’ll the first in its form factor to be using Kaleido 3. There were others such as the phones from Hisense and Bigme using color but they used older version of Kaleido. It’ll have 6gb of Ram and 128gb of internal storage. No word on the OS yet but their recent e-readers have used open Android 12 and 14 so this one will probably go in that direction also.

No info on the full specs of the device but we do know that it’ll have all the features of modern devices such as WiFi, Microphone, Speakers and USB-C. It is not yet released but it’ll go into crowdfunding in July of 2025. Interested buyers can fill up a questionnaire for a chance to win a NT $8990 discount once it is released. No word on whether they will put out an English international version yet.

Dasung Monitors & Apple Computers

Dasung recently announced on their Facebook page that all their new Revo monitors now work with Mac computers except for those that use Intel chips. All the users need to do is visit the Downloads page on their official site and get the the new V2.0 client. This incompatibility with Mac has been pointed out by ther buyers for a long time now so it’s nice they are finall fixing the issue. It would be great if they would solve the problem for the older models also.
